1933 J2 J3459 Complete, running older restoration, nearly full set of tools, will need some fettling prior to use. New tubes in good older Dunlop tires. Turn signals incorporated into fender and tail lights. Triple M registered.
Complete history, 6 owners from new. Breifly, first owner was E.W Hales, who purchased car in August of 1933, and kept in until 1939 (Original 1939 Tax Disc is in Disc Holder on windscreen). Second owner E.R. Hutchinson bought car in 1939, and "put it on blocks" for the next 41 years, when in 1980 Albert Sparrowhawk acquired it. He restored car, registered it with the MMM, and in 1983 through a advert in Classic Car sold it to Thomas Fleming, who entered the car in the 1984 Silverstone Classics and won the MMM Class, scoring 907 out of 1000 points. Imported to Canada by Fleming in 1984 or 1985, the car reportedly "won" a Toronto Concours d'Elegance in that year. Fleming later moved to Connecticut in the USA. A new engine block was fitted circa 1999, and Fleming entered the car in Greenwich Concours d'Elegance in 2000. The seller's brother bought the car in 2000, brought the car to Vermont, and after brief use, literally a few days, put it into storage. Seller acquired car in October of 2012.
Approaching age 70, seller now feels he will not use the car, and would like to sell it to an aficionado who will give this lovely little car its due attention and enjoy its use. Seller will assist with shipping and or delivery.
