This MG F Type Magna Chassis No. F0864 Register No. 1857. 6 cylinder OHC engine. It was first registered in 1932 as a University Motors 4 seat coupe, however when found the body had fallen off many years previously and mostly disappeared. It has been totally rebuilt over the last 30 years in the form of the much more desirable 2-seater sports and has been back on the road and regularly used for the last 8 years. It has the benefit of 12" brakes supplied as new from the factory, a new ash frame and skin, total chassis rebuild, full engine, gearbox and axle rebuild plus much more. The work completed is too much to list, but I am happy to discuss with anyone who may be interested. The chrome is all good and the car is finished in dark green with black leather. I would not describe the car as concours, but it is a very good presentable vehicle and would not disgrace any owner at events. I have enjoyed the car but now reluctantly I am selling to complete the build of a K3. The F2 drives perfectly and has the great ENV gearbox. The car sounds like a “Spitfire” thanks to a stainless sports exhaust. The car is finished in Jaguar racing green giving the car a fantastic look, being fitted also with Blockly Tyres. The F2 has a black leather interior and carpets with a canvas hood and tonneau cover. I took the F2 to Gaydon where the car was awarded best in show for 1923 to 1948 to my surprise, which reflects its condition and quality of rebuild. This is truly a reluctant sale of a great car.
