PB0262 is a 1935 MG PB 2-seater, register No. 2334, dark green cellulose finish. Original 939cc engine, No. 5112APB with Scintilla Vertex magneto ignition. Delivered from the factory 31 August 1935, sold by Waterhouse and Son, Bradford, thought to be modified for competition by Naylor, Bradford. Some competition history in supercharged form in 1936 Welsh Rally, drivers Naylor and Onslow-Bartlett, and 1936 Scottish Rally, drivers Welch and Naylor. Some documentation, rally plate, signed route book and photos included. Present owner from 1954. Converted to twin SU carburettors but Marshall-Drew supercharger installation and incomplete Type IZ 75 supercharger included. Would require renovation and new rotors to function. Matching numbers against despatch form for engine and rear axle. Different gearbox case fitted but original case included in sale. Engine re-built in 1958. Run until 1961 when put into dry storage. Recommissioned and returned to the road in 2011. Engine re-built, wheels re-built, battery re-built, new fuel tank, new trim and new Collingburn leather seats. All other bodywork is original, repaired and re-painted as required. Brakes re-lined in 2018 when broken hip prevented brake adjustment and any further driving. Stored in a dry garage and maintained in running condition although MOT has lapsed and car is registered as off-road. Complete record of all maintenance and works since 1954.
