I am looking to find a set of cast or drop forged alloy pistons to suit a new N Type Block which will be fitted with an L type crankshaft. The block to be married hopefully happily, to my original L type head.I am aware of the height difference between the N blocks and L blocks
Please see diagram, the bore size for the pistons is 60-62.
All help gratefully appreciated inc intermediate suppliers.
I trust I have written this paragraph so my request is crystal clear.
Thankyou. I HAVE LOCATED A MANUFACTURER AND RESOLVED THIS ISSUE.

Ollie, I think that refers to the guarantee1

Nigel,
don't be so hard on "intermediate" suppliers. or you are cutting off a wide range of possibilities.
As a primary producer and outlet for other manufacturers stuff I feel you do not realise the time/effort/cost to get parts made by many firms who certainly would not be interested in making 6 pistons. perhaps 60 off ... then you become an "intermediate ' supplier.
We are very lucky with our MGs for the supply of parts almost all of which would not be viable as a one car set.
Best wishes for the build of your engine.

Ross Racing Pistons & JE Pistons (both USA based) supply good quality forged pistons to drawing/pattern....

The tragedy of this restoration and probably a very familiar story to many owners who take on restoring these very old cars, is having to deal with the legacy left by the past.
