Hello all, I would like to pay a compliment to Oliver R. and all involved making the new small brake drums. For the first time I was able to stop the car going down my drive from the garage! And be able to go round the area for hours without being afraid of "the young mothers and their big SUVs" making sudden stops in roundabouts or crossroads reaching for a telephone a crying baby or whatever. With the L Magna this has not been a problem but with the J and its smaller brakes it was a problem. But no more, THANKS!
The new replacement drums are excellent - they do not spoil originality and stop the car very well. An early 4-cylinder MG should have small 8-inch brakes, at least in my view. Recently I did the bi-annual MOT with the brake test and the brake power generated is interesting in the positive sense - quite astonishing for what it is!
