Currently the asking prices for Cars for Sale on the website are removed and replaced with "SOLD " if the car has been sold. Would there be any objection from members for Nick to leave the asking price on the advertisment and simply draw a line through it and show "SOLD " ? Asking prices would then be an indicator of car value in future as a guide?
Thanks from Canada, Bob

I support your suggestion Bob; I think it should apply to other sales too. It then provides a point in time evaluation.
Clearly we wouldn't know exactly what price a car has sold for!

Dear All:

Can see no reason why not.
Also a good point of information/reference.
100% agreement. What next?

One word of caution, I have no idea for how much the car actually changed hands, only the asking price. I will ask the Committee for their opinion and if they are in agreement, I will leave the price visible. I do not think I can draw a line though the numbers, the form is simple html which does allow anything other than standard keyboard symbols.

Thanks Nick, a simple " //SOLD " after the asking price would suffice?

Seems reasonable as the price has been in the public domain.

OK, with the OK from the Chairman, I will leave the sale price visible unless specifically requested by the seller to remove it once the car is sold.
