can anyone help me to get an 3" ring to install a rev. counter on a Lemans M type dashboard.
a ring for 3" speedometer will perfectly do the job.

Try classicbezels.com
Not much of a web site, but I have referred a number of people there and all have been pleased.

This is the unlit rim from a '29 M type speedo, the ring is 85.5mm OD, 73mm ID, (ignore the steel outer ring which covers up the dash panel and ignition light fit). I think the brass V ring was silver soldered on to the 81mm OD tube, then nickel or later chrome plated. There is a rubber ring tucked up inside for the glass to press against.
The tube often splits because of the expansion of the zinc based speedo chassis.

It is hard to see how an 80mm rev counter, maybe an 80mm clock, temp gauges and fuel tank pressure gauge all could fit on an M dash, does anyone have a photo or drawing of either of the LeMans cars to see what was there?

Thanks Joergen,
Quite well packed!
An earlier (1976) account of the same car is here;

Perhaps the Purists should note that extra bonnet louvres should be cut with a chisel at LeMans. I often wondered about that big one on the drivers side.
