I have one of these (I think) I'll have to rummage around and send you a picture - but its been in my collection of bits for years, so condition unknown!

Hi Chris, If Graham can't help you, I think I might. I have one the same length as the one you are looking for 12-1/4" but, it has 29 commutator segments not 21. I don't know if it makes any difference though. The gear has a light return spring and has 9 teeth. See what Graham comes up with first.

Chris, the one I have is only 12" total length, so probably not suitable. It also looks a bit scruffier than Fred's!

Many thanks Graham and everybody who responded to help me out. I now have a number of gallant souls who have stepped forward with good options. I believe in the ones offered, there is indeed a suitable armature to get mine back together. Again, Thanks.
