For those who knew him, longtime friend of the NAMMMR and Minnesota MG T Register, Jim Simpson, who spent his entire working life at MG, passed away at age 100 this past Sunday. Rest in peace, my friend.

thanks for passing along the sad news - 100 years old ! I remember sitting in Jim's living room with his wife, you, Jack and Bill - 4 years ago but it seems like yesterday !

This was at MG2001 at the State Fairgrounds in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - July 2001. I brought Jim over from his home in Abingdon. It was the first time out of England for him and the first time ever on a plane. He was 84 at the time. He joined MG at 14 in 1930 and retired from there in 1980 one week before the factory closed.

There is an added sadness as it becomes apparent that there must be very few if any alive today who actually worked for MG in the Triple-M period. Is it possible that Jim Simpson was the last ?
