If you cannot find a P engine/gearbox there are wonderful small Alfa twin cam and Lancia shallow V engines... And wouldn't it go well...
Good luck

In the 2015 Register ist states Jom Alcorn as owner, 2009 Register it was Pete Thelander. You may contact him. Will send you his mail address offline. And there are possibly still the chassis files which you may get from the Registrar.

Michael, that couldn't be Jim Alcorn of Auto Vintagery, the Californian MGA Twin Cam specialists could it? http://www.autovintagery.com/
Cheers,

Andrea, I know nothing of this car but, one very small point if you should buy it.
The electrical junction box marked with the two white marks should be the other way up. This is to allow the main wiring harness to pass through the hole marked in yellow and this is then covered by a small alloy cover which is screwed to the holes marked in red.

If indeed the current owner is Jim Alcorn as I suggested above, he has a very good reputation in the Twin Cam world.
Good luck,
Dave |

Yes, in fact, the NAMMMR has Jim as the owner. However, my records list that it has a correct P-type, but non-original, engine.

Dave, probably - "Jom" sounds quite strange - I've got the name from the actual register only.

Thanks for replies- the Alfa engine probably have too big head to stay in the engine bay of the PB -probably the LANCIA 4 V engine, that are more compact, can go inside, but are a performance engine, I see a difficult webbing with the wire brakes.
The car was on US ebay on one strange section- I have find it accidental, the bidding is ended now the reserve price wasn't reach - my max bid was more than USD11.000 the actual owner named David- confidential said to me that the reserve was 18K- and this because He was uncertain to sell or continue to rebuild the car My adventure in search of a j or P car., complete, but in barn conditions continue-Thanks to all, for the support continue |
