No, the edit failed, but I was using Quick Response or some such.
But when I tried to post this response immediately after the first post, there was a red 'flood control' warning and an instruction to try again in 60 secs. Perhaps this is where the issue lies.

Ian Thank you for the test. I have turned off that feature, would you please test again. You were editing a post in quick reply, correct? If so, please would you please try editing a regular post and a quick reply. Nick

Message received and understood, Nick!
I will post this and then attempt to edit as quickly as possible, and then report back.

Nick, Just tried to edit my latest post and got:
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'
Subscript out of range: '[number: 0]'
/forums/post.asp, line 276"
Many thanks for all your work on the forum website - I like the new forum log-in page requiring registration and log-in before access.

Bruce Thank you. Requiring registration was an error on my part when migrating the forum to the new database. I have turned that off for the present as the forum email has stopped working, although I do not think it has anything to do with the new database since that is not involved in the email process. I have asked the server folks to look into the email problem but they will not now do that until Tuesday. It will be up to the committee to decide if the require registration feature should be on or off, but thank you for your comments. Nick

I believe I have fixed the edit bug (another NULL issue) but please let me know if you find otherwise or another bug. Nick

Nick I note that the Parts Wanted forum is showing the last post as 05/06/2015, although when you go into the forum the last post is actually 19/03/2016. An issue with the migration or another problem to add to your list?![](images/icon_smile.gif) Peter |

Mia culpa, I didn't update that table when I did the migration. I have added a test post and the date has followed correctly. The next genuine post will be correctly recorded. Nick
