My rear main bearing housing - I usually call it the bell housing / flywheel housing - the bit that surrounds the clutch - has a hairline crack near the bearing, and 3 of the 8 lugs are broken off.
Before I get it repaired by cast iron welding - does anyone have a decent one they could sell me?
I believe they are common to P, N, L & K type

John,
P and N types are the same but L and K types are not the same as P and N types.

Hello John,
Did you get a new rear housing? mine has the same problem has yours. Had heard that new ones are available, but don't know who from.
Cheers John |

Someone was selling partially machined flywheel housings on ebay a year or so ago. They came from Australia, if I remember correctly.

Two Johns, Have you asked James Gunn ? I know that he can supply certain castings but I do not know if these include P/N flywheel/rear engine housings. Certainly worth trying him.
If anyone needs a similar bit for a J/L, Elisabeth Wigg had one for sale a couple of months ago.
Addresses and phone numbers for these folkcan be found in the VSCC Members list.
