Having just returned from an extended LeMans Classic trip, I am delighted to report that MG K3015/2 was 1st overall in the Index of Performance in the Prewar Plateau 1 Races. This was in a field of 64 cars.
David Morris,Pads Dowling and S.Curtis were an amazing 12th overall in the outright classification against Talbots,Aston Martins,BMWs, Bugattis,Bentleys and Rileys etc.
Watching the K3 outbreak an Aston Martin through the Dunlop Esses in the dark was moment to remember.
4 MMM cars competed.

Graham, I think you'll find that the car is K3015/2 as it's known in these parts.

Index of performance rules as experienced by Colin Chapman:
1 Are you French? If Yes - Your car meets the regulations.
2 .......................If No - Are you English?
3..................................If Yes - Your car does not meet the regulations.
In Chapman's era the French were used to winning the Index of performance every year. However, if I remember correctly, Chapman did eventually, through great perseverance, win the Index of Performance.

| Hamish's C-type at Le Mans was beaten in the index of performance by an Amilcar C6 .... same class and only 3 laps behind him.... I thought the French and Scottish were on the same side! |
