Dear Form:
Have searched site for this topic and found nothing. Find it hard to believe it has not been covered , given the comprehensive nature of this forum. The question is. What parts in the various MMM. types were and are used on other MMM cars? For good measure other car makes such as Riley ,Morris, and Wolseley. Might be good to know. No pressure. Thank-you again.

The problem with the question is its generality. A huge number of for example Lucas parts were widely used, a smaller number of Morris parts are interchangeable eg differentials, Wolseley gearboxes, Bishop Cam steering boxes etc etc are possible
Specificity of the part is needed

I replied direct to JCB by email, but should say here that Malcolm Green's book MG road cars (the four cylinders cars) has a section on this. Can't recall how detailed as I don't have the book to hand (it's in the safe).
Regards, Graham
Ps there is a copy in the sale forum at the moment (no connection with seller!)

Malcolm Green's book does indeed cover the subject of interchange ability under chapter fifteen. It is quite comprehensive and covers the main items e.g. suspension, front axles, rear axles, diffs etc.
Graham - I know the book has increased in value but keeping it in a safe.....!![](images/icon_smile_big.gif)

Dear Forum:
Thank-you for your comments to my post. Maybe a little open ended but the topic is one we must all be dealing with.
Being a newish member and starting on a ground up project. Plus moving house and setting up a new workshop; the 3-5 year(or more) timescale; I am feeling the pressure. The object of this project is to have a roadworthy car while I can still enjoy touring.
I have Malcolm Green books and reread at intervals. The other valuable source is Ian Ross's excellent website. While mainly for F's types never the less much valuable information for all MMM cars. Truly a magnificent piece of original research.
With the information listed above, I hope my request will start a conversation on this important topic . So please contribute . All the best.
