I need the insert which fits / screws into the bottom of the float chamber and forms a fuel regulating valve with the needle.

Any help with this would be much appreciated

Have you spoken to Burlen? I know their website doesn't show bottom-feed float chamber parts but it is always worth calling them to discuss your problem. Also, I would always advise replacing the seating and the needle together to be sure of a good match.
