Is there a list somewhere of past chairmen? If the chairman of 1970 is contactable I'd like to thank him for his information newsletters which I have been reading. I'm new to MMM and I've been spending a lot of time (when I should be working) reading through the acres of excellent archived material available through the register. I am especially enjoying his writing style - straightforward, practical and highly entertaining. He's also unfailingly generous to everyone he mentions and some of the references to cars people are 'messing around with' (cream crackers etc) are very envy-inducing!

Back in 2011 the Register had its 50th anniversary and here is a page from the commemorative booklet. Of course things have moved on a bit in the succeeding 5 years ...
