Hello,
I purchased PB 565 in 2013 from a dealer in Edinburgh with a large history file and info dating from the 60's.
But very few is known from the pre-war period
According to this registar the car was manufactured on 2/12/1935
Original registration : JR4895
Supplied on 20/01/36 to A.Smart/Frank Scott
Sold to C.L. Gunn on 20/05/36
That's it
Can anybody help to complete please ?

I can't help you with old history, but would be interested to know who owned it in Scotland, and when. Also who the dealer was. According to the register it has had the registration KRR 266 a few years ago (possibly foreign). Have you updated the register since you bought it?

PB 0565 was exported to Sweden in 1977, I have no record of it returning to the UK, if it did it was only briefly!

Jean Christophe's posting serves as a salutary reminder to all owners to advise the Register whenever they buy or sell a Triple-M car.
So often our hardworking Registrar and we sub-registrars have to devote hours seeking out the history and whereabouts of registered cars. At times it comes pretty close to hunting for unicorns or looking for that elusive crock of gold at the end of the rainbow.
So may we please urge everybody to keep this in mind. It's very important that we maintain the best history we can of these lovely cars but we can only do it with your help!

PB 0565 was imported to Sweden in 1977 and was still in Sweden in December 2001 owned by Anders Bäcklund. Anders is a member of the swedish MGCC.
