I am looking for the left side louvred side of the bonnet for my swept wing J2. One in any condition would be helpful and very gratefully received. My mobile is 07796 264090 and please do leave a message if I do not answer. Many thanks John Tinley

If anyone out there needs a pair of bonnet tops and sides I have available the originals from J3656 in good condition. Not expensive at £200 plus carriage. I could bring to Stoneleigh if anyone is seriously interested.

can I get the dimensions of the J2 louvers and perhaps a picture. I think I have a spare set and don't know which car they are for.

Bonnet side for reference. I have fixed temporary wooden battens to the back to keep it 'ship shape and Bristol fashion'.

The 'louvers' are approx. 10 inches high. The first 'bank' are approx. 17 1/4 inches wide and the second 8 inches.

This original (from J3656) complete bonnet tops and sides has been sold for £200 and is awaiting collection.

I was asked for some bonnet side panel measurements.

Laying a tape measure long ways at a point immediately above the louvres at the top it's 39 5/8 inches

Doing the same at the bottom of the louvres it's 36 3/8 inches.

For height, I took a point between the gap in the two sets of louvres and taking a perpendicular measurement it was 18 1/2 inches from the bottom to the top (where the 'eyes' are formed to take the round brass bar which joins the top and side panels).
