Is this Midget known to the Register. I came across a rather fine period picture recently of the car competing in a hill climb.

Peter, it may be 2M0838 and is also recorded as having been associated with another M-type of unknown provenance.

Alas, the owner of 2M0838 is not known to the Register, but we have at least 3 pictures of the car competing in trials in the 30s - you can see them on this website if you look the car up at http://www.triple-mregister.com/browseregisterresult.php?a=M-types

If you have some other pics of the car please do send them to us so that we can add them to the records - either to me or Mike Dalby (sub-registrar for the Ms) - our contact details are via the website front page.

I'm struggling to find 0838 on the Register Dick. Nearest is 0848.

You won't be able to find it on this website's database because it is not currently known to the Register.

These are the pics that the Register has knowledge of (courtesy of Mike Dalby no doubt!):

The third picture (Bushcombe) is within half a mile of Prescott Hill and leads up to Cleeve Hill. It is now surfaced with tarmac, but is steep and a very worthwhile little lane to drive up in an MMM car. It becomes quite exciting when descending the hill only to encounter a tractor coming up the other way with the driver showing no sign of wanting to give way to an elder and better. Definitely a case of detecting a waft of Sam's "near death experience" spray.
