While you were all enjoying yourselves at Silverstone just a stones throw from where I live, we were 150 miles away attending the aforementioned event. Here are a few photos and a description of why we were there when hardly a 'Classic'.
Attending the Hare & Hounds Classic Vehicle Club Peaks & Dales Car Run to do the "Reveal" of the 1930 M Type to my Dad on Father's Day. 288 mile round trip with the car on a trailer for all but the last five each way. He had absolutely no idea we would be there and his wife Christine kept the whole thing a secret and managed to drag him out at 09:00 on a Sunday "just to have a look at a few old cars". — at Marple Memorial Park.
Thanks to Peter Newbery and Phil Cornut for bailing me out at the last minute when I ham-fistedly sheared off the oil feed banjo bolt a week before the event.
