The owner of PA 1923 who lives in India has contacted us for help with his car. He has completed its restoration but currently it has a 1933/34 Morris engine and he would prefer to source a PA unit.

He appreciates that these things don't grow on trees but if anybody feels they might be able to help him he can be contacted at reetsarkaria@hotmail.com

The car does not yet have a register number so cannot be seen on our website, so here is a pic of it.

I have a PA block, crank, rods and pistons. The block has been repaired in the past but apparently was working. This could be a start to collecting all the necessary parts to assemble a complete engine.

I am currently dismantling a 1934 MG PA 4-seater with a view to either restoring it or selling it in bits. I have done some work on the engine, which is now almost finished. No doubt your contact will require the starter motor, dynamo and SUs etc. What would you consider a fair price to ask for a complete engine in good condition?

Mike, Is it PA2161 that you are planning to dismantle?

Just out of interest why would you dismantle and sell off bits from a mmm car (that sounds fairly complete ) in this day and age??

I would ask the same question as Oliver, why dismantle and sell off the parts of the PA?

There must be many enthusiasts who would welcome the chance to restore the car.

The car is BUA 536. I am 80 years old. The car is complete less wings and rear 4-seat bodywork. I will restore it if I can. I need to know a few options if I run out of years. My wife is no mechanic. I seek advice as to the value of a well-restored engine complete with all accessories. Mike Strong
