I am hoping to have a J2 steering wheel boss modified to fit a Brooklands steering wheel to my car. The company who says they could do the job but would require an engineers drawing or a sectioned M type hub. If successful several of these hubs would be made. Can anyone help with a drawing or old M type boss? |

Hi Geoff, I have an M type steering wheel you are welcome to borrow but I will want it back as it is the wheel off my Sportsmans Coupe that one day I will get back together! I am near Guildford in Surrey. Let me know by email if you would like to borrow it. Keith

Why not just buy one from Kimble Engineering?
http://www.johnkimble.co.uk/main.htm
They make the wheels and have the bosses as well.
I toyed with buying one for my M which came with a very tatty original Brooklands wheel but in the end went for the original style Bluemells type from Austin Reproduction Parts
http://www.austinrepro.com/.
The car feel much nicer to drive with the thicker rim of the original type and looks better as well.

Hi Neil, I have tried Mr. Kimble and he doesn't do M type any more. Luckily I can borrow a wheel from a Sportsmans Coupe, as that is the car I have. I would have used my own as a pattern, but my car is away "up north" having an engine re-build. |

Hi Keith, My reply to you does not appear to have been posted, so here goes again. Yes please, I would like to borrow your wheel for a few days. I have a restored M type Sportsman's Coupe which is away having the engine rebuilt with a Phoenix crank etc. or I would have used mine.I Would love to see your car as I know of another being built, using mine as a pattern. My phone number is 07971202246. If you let me have yours I will contact you to arrange collection. My email is clockmansfield@yahoo.co.uk |

Pat,
Notice that there is a period (full stop) at the end of Geoff's email address which will surely not work as is.

I have removed the full stop so copy and paste should now work. Nick
