hello, I need a RN magneto coupling with the recess to accept the securing nut. Anyone got one for sale? Thanks, Paul. |

Thanks Lew, they were the first place that I called when I realised that I needed one, no luck with them. But they directed me to RED TRIANGLE, the Alvis people. The same BTH magneto was used on Alvis cars too, they are checking if they have one but doubt it. Fingers crossed. |

Paul,
Try John Firth/Albert Smith, not sure if I am allowed to give their details here.email if you want. They have been a good bet in the past involved in Spares for many years and helped me with magnetos and couplings.

please Chris if you don't mind. Peter in ZA has run my coupling through a CAD system and told me that I can't increase the undercut for the nut without destroying it. Thanks, Paul. |

Paul, if you are not successful with the undercut, maybe the coupling below, which I found in my BTH-parts, would be of use to you. It could be silver-soldered to a easy machined brass-ring or cup. Gerhard

Thanks Gerhard, if all else fails I will take these please. At the moment I have a couple of irons in the fire for the correct part, I hope to know soon if one of them is successful. I will be in touch off line. Probably if I used these I would machine the mounting stud from the existing coupling then silver solder your part on in its place. Thanks again. |
