Now I have a dynamo, my next request is for a starter motor for my J2. Going to Stoneleigh so can collect and pay if convenient.

Thanks.

Hi Chris

I might have a spare starter/parts.

I am not sure how the J starter differs from the P/N or even L type -over to the experts.

As you are going to Stoneleigh, why don't you have a word with Classic & Vintage Dynamos LTD to see if they have one in stock that you can collect at the show. Tel. 01623 747666. Will help if you can tell them the exact model you require.

Thankyou George, Peter & Keith, Yes George if you have a spare that will suit me fine, I will also speak to Classic & Vintage Dynamos as a default. Much appreciated.

A 6V M / OHC MM will also fit. Spins the engine over real fast when used with 12V and assists starting when using a blower. I have used one for many years and it survives well. This was recommended to me years ago by a well known enthusiast at the time, sadly long gone.

Occasionally have to replace the brushes but thats all.

Thanks Chris and Rich, I like the idea of the 6v starter and as my J2/J4 will be supercharged is a good tip. I have already purchased a dynamo off Chris, so will phone him tomorrow. Much Appreciated.
