Nearly two weeks ago I emailed David Woods as per the address on their web site; http://www.chronometricspeedos.co.uk/page2.html and have had no reply. Does anyone know anything of them? Are they still in business or any other snippets of info?

Don't know if this is help you need....
Just had mine done by Speedograph Richfield as advised by Lew. They did a nice job exactly as requested.

Thank you all. My reason for trying to avoid Speedograph Richfield or Patrick Henry is merely that I have an aversion to sending parts that may be difficult to replace with public carriers. Both of them are a long journey away while the Woods are about 40 miles!

Just an update. I have now as Dick suggested spoken to David Woods on the phone. He was extremely helpful and still very much in business. I would guess he is the man to go to for chronometric instruments but as I was actually enquiring about the speedo of my MGA it seems these are now handled by his son, whose contact details are also on the web site.
