Hi Scot, I am sure some one will help, but perhaps you need to be more accurate to what you're asking for! Firstly, what bowls do you want the lenses for, Lucas or Rotax; what size do you want? Do you want convex or flat, dimpled or clear? ...
if you sort that out you may get a better response, cheers

Thanks Chris, The lamps are Lucas. The lenses are 7-3/4" in diameter. What I have now are the shallow dome type with the concentric "U" pattern. I believe these may be of the later TC style. I don't know what style would be correct for my 1933 J2. I have seen photos of J2's with what appear to have flat dimpled lenses with a clear center section. If anyone can help identify the correct type it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scot

Scot, depending on the age of your J2, but your logon suggests you have a 33 model, it was likely yours would have had Lucas L140 flat dimpled lens with the near-side being a dipping reflector. There should be stamping on the rear to state this. If these are chrome then they would have been T-type for sure as the consensus was that most MMM's had body colour lamp bowls with a chromed rim. The size of lenses required will also be dependent on the type of L140 too ... one's with 3-eared reflectors or those without. This variant can easily be seen if a photo of the bowl was shared Scot.

Scot,

As you’ve previously been looking for a suction wiper and a Petrolift then your car is presumably a cycle wing one for which the correct headlight is the Rotax K624 with flat glass as in this picture.

Thanks to inputs from Bob Grunau,Gary Krukoski and Chris Blood I have confirmed that I have Lucas 140 far side dipping reflector headlamps with Lucas D 714/3 lenses. Both Bob and Simon noted that the correct headlamp for my 1933 J2972 cycle wing car should be Rotax K624's while Gary Krukoski and Chris noted that Lucas 140's are correct. Since I have 140's on the car now I would like to find a pair of Lucas NG13/9 (Bob's 1939 Lucas Catalog listing) flat dappled lenses and also start a search for a pair of Rotax K624's. I have 3 Lucas D 714/3 lenses for trade. Thanks to all for helping me get on the right track. Scot

Scot,

The picture I posted is of J3437, the last cycle wing J2, taken in August 1934 so I think we can be pretty sure that cycle wing cars had the Rotax lights. The subsequent Lucas catalogues list the relevant replacement items where the originals were no longer available.

Scot,
Perhaps this helps - cut and pasted together from the Lucas 1930-39 parts catalogue:

Sam- you think you've got problems- mine should have a cross between C (wider flutes) & D (plain centre) and I haven't managed to identify them yet
