I would like a pair of frosted glass lenses correct for an N-type. I have plastic lenses as shown which work but don't 'look right'.

I will be at Stoneleigh on Sunday, or am happy to pay postage to Hampshire.

Hi John,
I can help you with an original pair with correct glass and decent chrome rims.
Price £10 each. Will put on one side and and take to Stoneleigh.
I hope this helps.

John, I should be interested to know how you get on.

I have a pair of I would guess the same repro octagonal sidelights with the plastic lenses. When I tried original lenses in them it seemed as though they would only go in if distorted somewhat.

I seem to remember that the top of the hole, where the grub screw is, is flat whereas the rim of the lens is round all the way round.

Good luck,

Dave

Dave - my sidelights are, I think, original, and have a circular recess for the lens. I can see why repro ones were made with a thicker section as the thread length is minimal. Therefore I should be OK weith the ones Andy has offered.

That looks great John. I had assumed (what do they say?) that as you had the plastic lenses all was the same as mine. Glad to see you have those wonderful sidelight bulbs that flash orange, or am I assuming too much again?!
