Can anyone help please,my brother bought from Barry Walker a dismembered chassis of F1347 with matching numbers engine in the very early 1980's. The chassis had been cut into 3 pieces with lube pipes wiring etc all left on the chassis pieces. Does anyone out there know anything of this car reg number is CG2101,I have the factory chassis file.

Hi David

We have been in touch by email.

The file has very little information. You are shown as being the owner of just the chassis. The car appears to have been fitted with an A40 engine/gearbox at one stage and was originally a salonette.

David has contacted me to correct the record, F0708 is the car which at one time had an Austin engine and gearbox, the records also shows it had a TC body.

The original engine for F1347 was 1601 AF

This is a odd one.
The chassis has been much modified.
Plus the original engine and gearbox are missing.
Would be interesting to know more.

What we can say for sure is as follows.
DVLa recognize the registration. So there is hope there .

MMM Register on line has no record.
Paper Register states chassis only.

F Type Magna-Ian Ross
Has record and photos x3.

So quite a a few loose ends.
Not with out hope . But still a very complicated story.
Hope this starts the loose ends saga.
