I am planning to be there on Sunday, will call you then to check staffing needs at MMM Stand - likely to be supporting Cousin who is racing saloon in morning but not sure on times.
May be in K1 - but still trying to solve fuel tank problem today! [Have spoken to K1 rebuilder]

Hello Christopher,

I do hope that you and the K1 might make it to Silverstone on Sunday. Another K1 owner, David Winstanley, whose car is a project is very keen to see one up close for reference purposes!

PS
Just spoken with David W and it appears that he won't be able to make Silverstone ....

A foretaste of part of the Register’s Silverstone display. Ted and Janet Hack with their ‘American D type’

All in all we’ve had a pretty good day at Silverstone today. Thank you everybody who turned up to either help or simply bring your car and meet other owners.

Congratulations to Andrew Taylor who came in eleventh in the California Cup driving tests.

We’ll be back again there tomorrow so why not come along and say hello? A warm welcome, free tea, coffee, soft drinks and biccies await you!

Here are some more pictures from MG Live. A picture of the Triple-M Register Marquee. Much Chinese interest in K3011. Pictures of Andrew Taylor in PB Cream Cracker and Philip Bayne-Powell in his supercharged ND in the California Cup.

A couple of photos of the Triple-M car park taken on Saturday.

There were only 20 cars parked but there was quite a variety including PB Airline, K pillarless saloon, C type, ND, KN tourer, K type built in the style of a K3, L1 tourer, 2 L2s, as well as some very nice looking P types, J types and M type.

Saturday was quite a busy day, we had numerous visitors visiting our marquee. The weather was also ideal!

It would be wrong for this representative of the committee to blow the trumpet for the Register's MGLive! efforts, except perhaps to say that we had a great time and really enjoyed seeing so many of you who brought your cars along or just dropped by to say hello.

We would be interested to hear your comments about your visit along with any suggestions you wish to offer to help us in planning next year's show. For those who didn't manage to get there this year there is always 2019 and as soon as we know the date we will let everybody know.

But in the meantime we have a whole range of things lined up:

Sunday 17 June is the Register's AGM at Kimber House, Abingdon, preceded by a brief informal road tour around the old factory test routes. If you're planning to come along please let us know in advance so that we can make space for you and feed you!

One week later on Sunday 24 June we have the VSCC race meeting at Donington, which will include the Baynton Jones Historic Motorsport MG Challenge for Triple-M cars.

Sunday, 8 July sees the annual Register Summer Gathering at Peter Green's home - this is always a firm favourite in the calendar so try to get along if you can. Pre-booking is essential.

And then one week later on Sunday 15 July comes the MGCC race meeting - also at Donington which will feature the Triple-M Register Challenge race.

And so the summer continues, with the VSCC Cadwell Park meeting on Sunday, 22 July Intermarque Trophy race, Spero and Voiturette events.

These and other activities are summarised on the events page of this website and in our bi-monthly Bulletin, so if possible do try to support some - or even all of them if you can!
