Does anyone have a N type distributor to housing locking plate available? I don't know if the one in the photo is original but it works OK. Thanks in advance Jos Schreuders treetops@wxs.nl

Jos,
Would this one do?

I'd have to say that I found it fouled the underneath of my Lucas distributor but worked fine with the Bosch one. You're welcome to it if it does the job.

Hi Jos,
I guess all MMM have the same bracket fitted, attached a picture of a J2 enginge, the clamp is L2. But i recommend you, to fit it the other way round, could be the bracket clashes with the Dizzy body,

Simon has send me , very kindly thank you, this bracket. Unfortunately it doesn't fit. What I hadn’t seen before is that the bracket interferes with the body because the legs in Simons bracket are slightly shorter than the one in the photo from Carl Drolshagen. The “curl “ holding the screw is too close to the hole to fit the distributor in.
So...still looking for a correct distributor locking plate! |

Jo’s,
What you need is one with the clamp bolt the other way round compared to the one I sent you, i.e. it sits below the plate rather than above it.

Jos, the arrangement for the N-type should look like this. At least it is so on my NA0468. Gerhard

Simon, Tried it the other way around as you suggest but then it still won't fit. Too short legs between the hole and the "curl". |

Jos,
The one I sent you is the upper one. The one you need is the lower one which is a mirror image of the upper one.

Simon,
I tried every postion but the distance between the hole for the distributor and the curl holding the screw is too short. In the photo's of carl and Gerard( thank you gentlemen) one can see that both legs are slightly longer. Thanks any how for your input
Still looking for a distributor locking plate.....
