Can anyone kindly advise where to get hold of (assuming such a part now exists) the thinner and longer 1930s style ignition coils with acorns (new). Model number and source would be really helpful.

Thanks

Hello Rich,
Think this has been mentioned here before, but Moss do a similar looking coil albeit arranged SW and CB for positive earth (easily reversed!) Details at https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/ignition-coil-reproduction-of-original-q12-143-210.html

Not cheap at £45.20 though ....

I used one specified for an old MF tractor which has an acorn connection and is a nice chocolate brown, OK for a P. Sorry I cannot remember now where I sourced it from but it was considerably lower in price

Thanks Nigel, These appear to be the fatter Lucas type, Moss ones are far more period looking, thinner and longer, plus have no fat Lucas style rim on the cover end.
