Unbelievable. Today we hit 179 entries - the same as the TOTAL entry last year. At this point last year, we had ... 50 entries. All I did different this year was put the price up five pounds!
Incidentally that five pound increase is ALL going to the RAF Charitable Trust (in return for raffle tickets), so we have made GBP 895 for the Trust already. The Trust's main beneficiary are the Air Cadets, and we do everything we can to get all our Cadets up the hill on the day - gotta start them young. Thanks everyone.
Its now about ten days until we hear whether we have Battle of Britain Memorial Flight air support. We dipped out last year because of RAF 100, but we're very hopeful this year.
Nice to see Peter McFadyen on the entry list today as another event photographer and Automobile reporter, and the latest MMM entry from Volker Tilly with his M Type coming from Germany, bringing the M Type entry to 14 so far and MMM entry no. 57. Does anyone know where the M Type High Speed Van replica is these days? That would be nice to see in the Paddock.

Here we go again. 395 climbs booked as of this afternoon. I'll have to reduce to JUST the single free climb when we hit 400. I'll honour one plus a free one until we hit 400 OR midnight tomorrow night, whichever is later. |

... and we have blown through 400 climbs, so the entry form has been amended to remove the extra climb option. Each entry from now will come with one free climb.
192 entries as of this morning, including 58 MMM's - incredible day in store! |

Message for John Passmore - if you are on the forum? Courtesy of Laurie, you have been entered for Pre-War Prescott and the Sunday Navigation Rally. Understand your J2 is finally on the road after 30+ years in pieces and that it will be the subject of a restoration report by Michael Ware in The Automobile. |

As entries passed the 200 mark this morning, I also received the fantastic news that the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will visit us with a Hawker Hurricane on Saturday. The Flight operates two of these iconic fighters, but it is too early to know which one will grace the skies over Prescott on the day.
Sincere thanks to the RAF Display Team at Bentley Priory who organize the BBMF calendar.

A small but important change to the weekend. The Friday evening pub reception is being moved from the Hobnails to the Gardener's Arms at Alderton - a stone's throw from the Hobnails. The reason for the change is that the Hobnails has recently attracted some terrible online reviews, having gone down badly, and there are reports that it is now closed, pending sale. We have gathered at the Gardener's Arms in the past and current reviews look excellent.
In other news, a lunchtime cavalcade of MG's is being organized, bringing together cars from the Early MG Society, the MMM Register and the Octagon Car Club. One representative of each model will be selected by the respective clubs and the cars will ascend the hill in age order, starting with the earliest Bullnose MG and ending with the T Types. If you own a MMM model NOT included in the current entry list above, this is your invitation to join us! (Enter at http://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=161)
A couple more MMM entries:
64 1933 MG J2 Dr. Mike Gardiner 65 1929 MG M David Rolfe (VMR)
Entries are still open.

Couple more quick updates. Dick has provided a list of representative models for the lunchtime cavalcade. I'll be contacting the selected owners shortly. We have a few 'missing links', which are:
12/12M, J3, Q, R, F2, F3, K1, K2, K3, NB, ND and NE.
If anyone owns any of these models and would like to enter PWP, please feel free!
The MMM Register Crownwheel Trophy that was awarded for the first time at Pre-War Prescott last year, will be competed for again this year. Once again, Tony Richards has offered to manage the voting on Saturday. Thanks Tony.
In other news, those entering the Sunday Nav Rally will need three OS maps this year - 150, 151 and 163. Any edition will suffice. Those on the Scenic Tour will NOT need maps - all directions being clearly laid out in the Tour Handbook. However, you might want to bring these maps if you have them, just in case you inadvertently stray from the route!
Oh, and for both the nav rallyists and scenic tourists and their navigators/passengers, we have a slight restriction this year. I'll need to know at the start on Sunday morning:
Have you been abroad within the previous three weeks? Are you or have you suffered from diarrhea or vomiting in the previous seven days? Are you suffering from a heavy cold? Have you any cuts or sores?
That should get everyone guessing!

Great EMGS entry developing, including the Tigresses of Geoff Radford and Anthony Littlejohn. What an historic pair they will make.
A reminder that for the first time, Barry Walker will have a trade stand in the Paddock on the day, as well as bringing his J4. Contact him if you would like him to bring any particular items for your collection. Also, Motor Wheel Services will be present if you would like them to bring anything. |

Sunday route finalized. Entrants will require OS LandRanger maps 150, 151 and 163. Any editions. Those on the Scenic Tour will not require maps - there will be detailed route instructions in the Tour Handbook given to every scenic tourist at the start. |

Ian, Although I have sent you my entry (but no receipt received), just confirming the I will be there with J3762. Another Aussie entrant, Marguerite Morgan with J3756 (the Class H record breaker) will be coming too. You should receive an entry from her in the near future. Simon, the Aussies have already been "let in". Cheers, Ed |
