Still looking for a really nice original example, complete with all original parts, in excellent condition. I have the original drive housing, the car had its DFH6A before it left the UK, along with the original dealer/distributor dash badge, which I managed to re create in the UK. Its such a great little car, so sadly neglected,a hell of a job restoring it back.

Nigel - I have used a Bosch distributor on the L2 which has worked really well on the engine which is supercharged at 12lbs boost.
These distributors were originally fitted to a Mercedes and could be fairly difficult to find? I cannot recall the model but the topic was discussed previously and maybe be archived

The Bosch model number is clearly visible in your second photo, George - it's 0 231 187 001

Simon - thanks, I did not word the posting very well, I meant to say I did not know what model of Mercedes car this type of distributor was originally fitted to.
Alan - I do not know of any source for these, I bought mine from Baynton-Jones at the time I bought one of their fast road cams for the L2.
