I wonder if anyone has an irreparable Altette Horn that they are prepared to pull apart and sell me the Pushrod and the Pushrod locking ring or the whole horn if it is beyond repair.

I am pretty sure that Taff the Horn will not sell me these two components as he would need them for his restorations.

The locking ring is the item that I need the most.

Please check your spares boxes.

Hello Russ,

I have a complete spare altette from one of my Rovers which you may have for free. Just send me a PM of your details. I am currently in Cyprus, so will be end of June before I can get it to you. The horn could be restored if you so wish, it is the same type as used on the MGs.

Its my pleasure to help, really it is a gift. Attached my VERY rare Rover P2 ' Doctors Coupe ' 1938 ( one of only three remaining worldwide and here at Brooklands for filming the ' Napier Railton Experience '. I owe a bottle of plonk to an MG owner near Cambridge..If you are close ???
