Jorgen and Forum:
After a little rootling about-as you do. I think this car is F2 1450. Photos on ebay ,Ian Ross website and Tripe M Register make a good match. Looks complete and in good condition. All the best.

The car is F1450 which is a genuine F2.
I have been in touch with the long term owner who supplied the photos of the unrestored car.

Hi All. I looked into buying this when it was for sale earlier on. I know what the reserve is and it's considerably more than current bid(unless reserve since modified) but a few words of warning from experience. After being successful(?), watch the horrendous cost of internal US trucking to a west coast port (can be frightening), then the agents fees, then the shipping and finally the 5% vat. Believe me, it will be a pricey restoration, but I agree, it would be great to get this original F2 home. Happy to help anyone but via ....barry@barrywalker.com |

Oh, dear. As I said.......I could have bought this weeks ago. I offered a genuine post for others less experienced, and in less than 24 hrs. the s**t comes winging back. What has the (MMM) MG world come to. Lets all leave at that please.

If it is any use to anybody, I had a 1933 Minor transported from Ontario to Seattle last year, crossing the border, for around $2,500. And when I asked them the cost of shipping from Seattle to the UK, it was about the same. I can supply the company details if anyone is in need. I'll be using the same company to collect my M from Georgia shortly. |

Was looking at this F2 on the Hemmings Website. Why are the relevant numbers not visible. Does this mean some of the parts are not original. Is the JO5844 a UK reg number? |
