Gentlemen,
Looking at car J2790 and it has a Wolesley block in it. Had a previous post about this car and one of the MMM members is going to actually look at it for me soon. Question is what does a Wolesley block do to its value ? Have read somewhere that Wolesley was bought by Morris Motors back in the early 30's and provided engines for MG's but don't want to get a J2 that has the wrong style block. Thanks for your help !
Mike

William Morris bought Wolseley in 1927. The ohc MG engine began life as a Wolseley engine and much of it was made by them. However there was also a separate and different Wolseley strain of ohc engines being produced at the same time in the same factories. I'm sure someone here will be able to tell you what it is if you can send in photographs.
