Dear all

I posted this a few years ago.

Can anybody help me find out any information on my PB. The car was supplied ex-factory to Finch motors, Douglas, Isle of Man. 11.2.1936. Registration number MAN 924. The car was then brought back into the UK and re registered in February 1937. Registration number BDK 855. I have an old registration book. This shows the car was in Derbyshire in 1959. The car has been in my family since the early 70s and was bought as a wreck. Last year I completed the restoration and she is now back on the road !!

I have tried unsuccessfully to find any information about anything.Finch Motors no longer exists and I can't even find a picture so any information or guidance would be great.

Hello ANdrew.

I have a Manx connection - indeed I am 1/8 Manx, although I tend to keep quiet about that! A cousin in the IoM remembers Finch Hill garage and is doing some digging . More to follow, I hope ....

Incidentally the Factory record for you car suggests that the first Reg was MAN 984 not MAN 924..
