Thanks for the sketch Chris, I am assuming that the hex head is recessed (counterbored) and all that holds the carbon in place is a tight fit (swedge?) Am I correct? if so how deep is the recess into the 0.145" thick head?

Hi Mike,
The depth of the counterbore for the carbon is relatively unimportant. It is just to hold the carbon in place. ....060" would do it. (I can't tell you exactly without destroying my unit to find out)
