Just returned from the parts cleaning shop with the 32 sets of disassembled springs they cleaned for me. Next step is sorting and figuring out which ones are repairable and usable. The load was a bit much for my 1950 Hillman Minx!

Quite a task to sort them all out nad maybe bind them in chord.
That Hillman Minx must be quite a rarity in the USA.

In the back of Blowers' is a useful chart of all the spring specs including individual leaf lengths. That should be of considerable help in the reassembly.

Thanks Lew. I already have that info, placed into a chart and workable document. The Hillman is a rarity, and is a fun “ice cream” car. 4 speed on the column, side valve sewing machine motor, no power at all. But easy to drive and my wife Emily likes going places in it.
