Noted in the current Triple-M Register Bulletin. (August/September.) A new book on MG Cars by Malcolm Green. I am rather surprised that this is the first I have heard about it. I cannot see what price the book is or from where it is obtainable. (No mention in the library sales section.) Has anyone any more information? Chris Note:- I tried to post a picture but it would not download. |

Hi Chris
I did mention this book in an earlier posting. It was advertised somewhere at a slight discount - I cannot recall this was.
I wonder if Rich will acquire some copies for sale via the Library l.e as for his previous book?

Thanks, George. Apparently there are over 400 pages although it does cover 1923 to 1980. Chris |

Sadly the Library will not be stocking the book.
It is available from several places including the Car Club shop.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Colin and Richard for your information. The article in the Bulletin gave the impression that the book was new. Regards, Chris |

Chris. The new book is quite new, but it has taken some time for the review to get into the Bulletin. I picked up my copy last November, and there is so much in it that I have not really gone through the book in depth. It was "put down" rather disparagingly by one of our Northern Ireland members (Yes, Simon, you will know who I am referring to !) as in all probability just a re-hash of books which have gone before, but I don't think that the author Malcom Green does "re-hashes". As the Bulletin review says, there is much new stuff in the book, and in my estimation it is, like possibly all of Malcolm's previous books, a very worthwhile addition to one's personal M.G. library. Thanks, Colin.
I am puzzled as to why the book has not had the publicity that previous ones have received, I have been impressed by all the books so far produced by Malcolm.
