We're pleased to announce that the Triple-M Register committee has unanimously decided to award the John Kidder Memorial Trophy 2021 to Ian Grace .
The award to Ian represents not just a one year contribution, but a continuation of everything he has been doing to promote and manage the VMR Pre-War Prescott event over many years. And all that from his home at Seattle!
Triple-M cars have become an increasing element of the PWP event so the award is richly deserved. Bravo! Let's hope the Trophy can be awarded to Ian in person this year on the 16th of July!
For those who may not know, the Trophy is awarded annually to "the person or persons (not being a committee member) whom the Triple-M Register Committee considers merits the award on the grounds of either:- A notable performance during the year.
or
A notable contribution to the Register during the year."
The awardees since 2001 are: 2001 Mike Hawke 2002 Malcolm & Anthea Green 2003 Alan Grassam & Derek Richards 2004 Ted Hack & W. Grayling 2005 Jos. Wantz 2006 Bob. Walker & T. Hartley 2007 Stefan. Vernyns 2008 Paul White 2009 Nick Feakes 2010 Phil Bayne-Powell 2011 Ged Seagrave 2012 Bruce Sutherland 2014 Colin McLachlan 2015 Koen.Struijk 2016 Simon Johnston 2017 John Gillett 2018 Bruce Weston 2019 Colin Murrell and Steffi Broch 2020 Tim Sharp 2021 Ian Grace

Let me add my congratulations. PWP is a Must Attend event, and Ian puts in an incredible amount of work to bring it about. Unfortunately Barbara and I will not be able to attend this year due to a clash with a twice-postponed cruise (with a large deposit paid, said the true Scot). The way things are going, I almost hope it will be cancelled again so that we don't miss our joint favourite event.

Absolutely speechless! Sincere thanks.
It should be me awarding the MMM Register an award for their support of PWP. The Register entry has become the backbone of the event, and without entries, the Paddock would be left to the skylarks! |
