MG Live! Silverstone 11 and 12 June 2022
After several fallow years, brought about by a) Silverstone cancelling the event in 2019 (I think) in order to resurface the race circuit and b) and c) a well known virus, MG Live is back.
The Triple-M Register is planning on being there and we intend to share a marquee with the MGCC Vintage Register where we can host Triple-M and like-minded enthusiasts. Planning at MGCC Club level is still underway and when the details are clearer our Register will finalise plans for our own participation.
In the meantime, please save the date and help us re-kindle enthusiasm for what has always been a premier event in the Club calendar. The more of us that attend, the better it will be!
Triple-M cars are well suited to the California Cup challenge - perhaps this can be the year when we walk off with a team prize?

UPDATE
Plans are now confirmed for the Triple-M Register's participation at this year's MG Live at Silverstone. The dates are 11 and 12 June.
The Register has booked a large marquee (9x6m) which we'll be sharing with the Vintage Register where Triple-Mers and Vintagents will receive a very warm welcome. There will be assuredly be a LOT to catch up on since the previous show in 2018!
All aspects of the MG family will be there for everyone to enjoy so do please reserve the date. Tickets are now available at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/mg-live-2022-tickets-264142747067 - volunteers, please read the note below before purchasing..
We have a small team of volunteers who are putting things together but we would welcome offers of assistance from you all, please:
a) On Friday 10th, to help to put up displays within the marquee and
b) To help out on the Register stand over the weekend
If you are able to offer some time to help out, please reply here or contact Dick Morbey.
We may have a small number of free event entry tickets for issue to volunteers, so let us know sooner rather than later!

I am also planning to come, dependant upon petrol availability, with the other MG (?) and the caravan!! May be helping on the camping set up on the Saturday morning!

It's gone a bit quiet on this subject but we had a very useful planning discussion at the Register committee meeting last night.
Preparations are under well way to welcome you to our marquee on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June where we will regale you with tea coffee and refreshments as well as good company, nice cars and sales of enticing Register books and regalia for you.
To help us in the planning for this, could people please indicate here whether they plan to come to MG Live and if so on which date/s?

I will be coming to M.G. Live on both the Saturday and the Sunday in the company of Bryan Ditchman. I'm afraid that it will be in the MGB as Bryan finds my PA (not every PA, I would say) very uncomfortable. His large frame doesn't fit comfortably in the bucket seats. I must say that for me it is a very comfortable car - once you are in it !

Sorry, I should have posted here earlier to say that we do now have a particular J2 for display in the Register marquee but of course other J types will be warmly welcomed to the event!
