Yes yes, I'm awake I'm awake  ! First of all a big thank you all most kindly for your well wishes! Whatever the date, it is much appreciated! Onno is right though, it is in fact the 8th and has been since 1976  . The same date, actually, as the first day of the 1931 JCC Double Twelve race at Brooklands in which the Montlhéry Midgets were so overwhelmingly victorious and as VE Day!
Took my Honourable J1 to Brooklands the other day as an early pressie to myself!
