Ah, one of my A75 blower covers.
Vintage MG Parts have plenty of complete blower drive sets in stock at the moment. However, they are only available as a complete drive set, not just blower or crank drive ends or shafts.

Onno , yes, I think I can help you here. I have the main part , the barrel shaped thing, but I cannot find the knurled end to it. I shall have a better look tomorrow. I shall try to take a photograph of what I have and post it on this forum so you can tell me if it is what you want. Best wishes to you . Fred |

Onno, don't worry if Fred can't find the knurled nut. I have a few knurled nuts left over from the time I had some complete blower drives made locally, and you are welcome to them. Gerhard

Hi Onno, have some odds from inside the body of the drive coupling..... What are you putting it on? Diameters/length and even tapers on blower shafts depending on type.... FOZ |

Yes, fitting on a Volumex requires an internal taper to suit the conical locating spacer and slotting for a key.
In my case I had to partially slot the conical piece and shorten the key a bit as a compromise.
I believe the key is essential as although the rotation would naturally tighten the securing nut, any slippage of the drive unit on the shaft might unscrew the the whole thing. A key eliminates this danger.
A Mk22 for example has a larger diameter shaft thus repurposing a drive unit previously fitted to one would be problematic

Yes have read Foz's recent yearbook article and the lathe in my shed and access to a mill will let me tailor the parts to suit
