On the hunt for the correct mounting bracket for my J2 speedometer, the one that secures it to the back of the dash and uses the three locating studs on the Speedometer.
Thanks, Daniel J4213

I made these a few years ago, not difficult to make and they worked ... I dont do the stuff anymore but may give you the encouragement.

Yes Sam, that's the bracket.
And thanks Chris, it looks like making one might be my next option.
Someone has removed the studs from my Speedometer and taped (sort of) out the holes to something metric. Then used ill fitting angle off cut to hold it all in place! |

Now I see the speedometer bracket I do not recall finding it in the boxes of my J2 parts of 51 years ago. The photos are a big help in fabricating a bracket. I appreciate the replies, Thank you all.

Thanks William, I'm just away on an MGCC rally, I'll measure it when I'm back home on Sunday evening.

Hi William, Dropped you an email, but could you elaborate on what you meant by pitch of the fixing bolts? As nothing seems to be close to 120mm so I suspect I've misunderstood. Thanks |
