It is worth considering the fact that something costing 100GBP in 1935 would cost you 8000GBP today just due to inflation!

But in terms of how many weeks' wages it would take to buy an item, £100 equates to about £20,000 today.

I would be interested in any mention of K3004 which was campaigned during the prewar period 1933-1939 by the following drivers and owners.
1933 - 1936: G.F.A. (Jock) Manby-Colegrave
1936 - April 1938: W.E. (Billy) Cotton and W.E. (Wilkie) Wilkinson
April 1938 - August 1939: Owner - Mrs C. Corbett-Fisher. Driver. H. Stuart-Wilton..

| Hello Ross, it took me a whole day going through four volumes to find information for Roland, thus this is why I said in my post of 1/12/22, that I will look in the magazine for information of races on now on specific dates. Otherwise, as I have now realised it is very hard just going through the whole volumes looking for names. But, I did see the names of Billy Cotton and Wilkie Wilkinson. Please help me by looking in your records for dates and I will cross reference, hopefully for articles and maybe photo’s. |

Anything on the Abingdon to Abingdon trials please??? 9th May 1936, 1 May 1937, 14 May 1938, and 13/14 May 1939. May be the month/ week after each date please!

Hello Mike, I am sorry to say there is absolutely no mention, either in the list of forthcoming events or race/hillclimb/trial results. Which is a bit odd if it was an important event ? I have looked at the relevant month and a further two months later for reports.
The type of forthcoming events listed and often reported are as follows:-
Prescott, Shelsey, RAC int, Brooklands Whit Monday and Nuffield, RAC tourist T, Crystal Palace, Donington, Le Mans.
