I was going through a box of scrap metal today and came across a brass plaque. I was very excited as it was clearly a vehicle identification plate - that my M type was missing.
Rather like Aladdin trying to summon a genie, I eagerly cleaned the plate.
Slightly disappointingly, while I was right this was a VIN plate, it wasn’t for my M-type. It is the plate for M2764.
M2765 is on the register, but does M2764 still exist out there?

Rob, according to Register records, this car is owned by Barrie Dean of Nottingham, who is well know in our circle.
I will flag this with Mike Dalby our M type registrar who may be able to follow up!

Perfect! Thanks Dick: it would be nice to get this plate back to its rightful home!
Just need to find one for M0337 now :-) |
