The MGCC are having a promotional photo shoot for the MG Triumph 100 event (Silverstone June 10/11).
The shoot will be at Silverstone at 11:00 am Thursday 2nd March and the Club would particularly like to have some MMM cars there to photograph.
Any interested parties are asked to contact Club Manager Mike Stafford at mike.stafford@mgcc.co.uk for details. Let's try to put on a good show!

Contrary to some misconceptions, our Register gets phenomenal support from the MG Car Club not least in the person of our nominated director, Lorraine Noble-Thompson who happens to be a Triple-M owner!
We have a very close working relationship with the Club. The MG fraternity is of course a wide and diverse community of cars and owners and over the decades the Club has always been respectful of the need to support all of them.
Just wait until you see exactly what the Triple-M Register will be laying on at Silverstone in June. Bigger, better, more interesting and with something for everybody!

I did write to Lorraine a good few months ago following her initial approach to me. I did actually think, from speaking with her that her heart was in the right place.
In my email communication, I set out various suggestions for raising the profile of the Register, and the club for that matter, even through I was not actually a club member myself. Lorraine did not provide the courtesy of a response. When I chased to establish if she had read my communication, she made it quite clear to me via text that she does not engage with non-club members. I was therefore left with a feeling that there is little hope for logical improvement on the poorer aspects of the club, with such misaligned outlook.
Very sad really if this is MGCC official policy as if so, they will only be able to view the situation looking outward and not the other way around ie from a prospective club member's perspective. By this, I do not mean just my perspective but the position of many MMM enthusiasts who have reasons for not being a club member. This was especially disappointing noting Lorraine is a MMM owner

In response to Rich's comment the simple answer is join the MGCC then you may get a response from the representatives. My only gripe is about MG LIVE being run on the GP circuit the racing has become boring but i still go to support the club an meet up with friends
