Looking for bucket seats to fit my J2 … any taking up space in your garage? … trimmed, un-trimmed, scruffy, alloy if possible?
Not looking for anything fancy, just something lightweight to hold the posterior in place when hillclimbing etc.
Many thanks

Hello, Steve.
Tony Gould has a pair for sale that could be suitable, they are on this forum for sale. You will have to click onto page 2.
Cheers, Chris

Thanks Chris, I did see those; not sure the K seats aren’t too wide for the J2 ? … and probably too smart for my car ;-)

Hi Rod, I think shipping from SA would be prohibitive.
Thanks anyway!

Hello Steve.
I’m pretty sure the width of the 1933 K3 body is no wider than the J2, surprisingly. However, Tony’s seats do not appear to have ‘ cutaways’ for the prop shaft tunnel.

They look dead easy to make.
My bead roller would make short work of these, new dies are on order to make set for my PA.
If you’re reasonably handy with your hands, make a set yourself as MG parts are stupidly expensive…

I agree Bruce, simple and amazingly comfortable (at least for me). Only angle that you need is the backrest, see below;
I like to use 0.9mm zintec sheet, as I once had a 1.6mm alloy seat pan fracture at hip level whilst braking hard
