Hello there,
Are there any hints what can be used to protect the cable ends of the brakecables.
Rubber mouldings? What size. Other suggestions? Addresses in Europe will prefer because of problems getting goods from the UK. Thanks to Brexit.

Thanks in advance.
Pim

Pim,
Covered many times in the past and Bob Grunau seems to have the answer in this thread (from ten years ago!) - https://www.triple-mregister.org/forums/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=6681&SearchTerms=VW,cable

However, my J2 (July 1933) had plain rubber tubing so cars from that era may have likewise.

There is a perfectly viable alternative that is very close dimensionally and is available internationally. It is a clutch cable outer rubber from a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The part number is AMTI 38630-88. I got them to fit using the original rings and they have been in use for over twenty-two years. Harley dealers can get them to order.

Roger,
If you follow the link I posted above you will see that the Harley Davidson part number changed at least ten years ago from 38630-88 to 145238
